She opts to run away from her home to the city hoping to get a better life. While in the city, Chebet endures more hardship including having to work as a househelp but in the long run manages to get sponsorship into school.

While at school the talented Chebet perfoms at the National Music Festivals where her performance earns her a chance to represent Kenya at the UN hence, she becomes a Delegate (youth representative at the UN).
