PILOT Hi-Tecpoint pens have a unique stainless steel tip that uses 3 or 4 dapples to support the ball. In previously used systems the ball was seated by hollowing out the metal lip. The advantages of PILOTS Hi-Tecpoinl system is that the ball is supported by the dimple points thus reducing the wear surface and allowing a smoother rotation of the ball.
