This carefully graded approach allows children to build up their reading knowledge of Arabic step by step.

A geometric shape below each illustration emphasises the shape of each thing found.

A two page spread at the end of the book brings together all the items the boy and his mother have found, and shows how they used them to decorate a sandcastle.
